Articulate offers four options for grading courses within SCORM players:
In TrainingForce, both Passed/Failed and Passed/Incomplete are supported.
With the other two options, Articulate does not set the SatisfiedByMeasure value to True so the OnDemand player cannot make a judgement about the passing or failing status of the course based on any scores passed to the system. By default, the value would always be "passed" because no passing score would be assumed. However, there is a catch.
TrainingForce has some extra logic in the system that says "If the course specified any passing value and we have nothing else to go on, assume the course is going to set the value, even if they said they were not going to in the manifest." In this case, Articulate also sets the Passing status to "unknown" which means that TrainingForce won't set its default status of "passed". This results in a "completed" completion status and an "unknown" passing status.
Using either of the first two settings results in the expected outcomes based on standard quizzes within the course because Articulate passes the correct values to the system.
